Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the child of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the pioneers in the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. Her divine grace was passed on to her son early.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow the footsteps of her father, sharing the Gospel of God the world. She is a gifted gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned an BSc in Architecture. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science award. He has an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he was able to feel God calling him to become a minister for the Lord.

The Man Of God was an undergraduate student at the time He founded the church that would eventually grow to become one of largest in the world. His small prayer group, 'Youth for Christ' would eventually be one of the university's most well-known groups. They would later go on to form LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite television and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel that broadcasts 24/7 from Africa via free-to -air networks. Today, LoveWorld television stations are accessible on satellite and cable networks across the globe.

A philanthropist who was passionate Pastor Chris Oyakhilome founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) COFI, an non-profit, non-governmental organisation with the mission to help those who are most vulnerable as well as communities in the poorest countries and regions in the world.

The Man, God, has founded NGOs with the mission to provide essential services and hope. COFI has five partners who support it, each of whom is committed to improving the standard of living in the most remote areas.

The InnerCity Mission for Children The InnerCity Mission for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIFthe Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and Bible For All Mission are all under the COFI umbrella. Each of these groups works to enhance the health and lives of those who are most in need.

His charitable organization also provides nutrition for children in need. Pastor Chris believes in building communities by establishing COFI and The InnerCity Mission.
